Our Main Objective
'Aim to raise the self-esteem and aspirations of all students'
Getting to know your child as a person and building their confidence, this enables us to identify what support they need. This could be in the form of:
- Language support
- Self-esteem and confidence building
- Maths and English support
In addition, we have dedicated services in the school that offer enhanced support should it be required:
- Learning Hub (SEND)
- English as Additional Language Support (EAL)
- Sanctuary (medical needs support)
- Inclusion Room (IR)
- Alternative Provision
Biddenham School closely monitors all spending and impact on student performance and adjusts its approach in the light of this.
As a forward thinking school, we embrace the opportunities technology provides and believe it is an integral part of learning. We pride ourselves on offering all students access to remote learning and strive to develop the independent skills it offers.
To facilitate this, all our students are given a chromebook and access to the wide range of Google services.
Please see below a range of resources to help support you and your child with remote learning.
Support for Parents and Carers
Parent and Carer communication is paramount to the success of students realising their full potential.
During the distance learning period we learnt a great deal about how students learn when they are working independently and understand the added pressure it puts on parents and carers at home.
We have put together a support information sheet to help with independent and remote learning.
Support for Students
As a Google integrated school, we are able to offer you access to high quality remote and independent learning. You are able to fully utilise all the online services which offer you advice, support and resources.
Access to these resources is through your Google Classroom notices.
We have put together a one stop shop to help, and refresh your memory of the support you have available to you.
