Department Overview

WorkSkills at Biddenham enables our students to develop the skills for independent learning; to understand and access a range of employability skills and knowledge; for research and reference, and to work as a team to plan events. They will study the Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate which is 100% coursework and assessment, and is based around careers, employment and the world of work. This qualification will complement other subjects and encourage personal growth, wellbeing and vocational learning.

During the course students take part in a wide range of events, trips and visits which support their studies. The department also arranges for guest speaks and professionals from different work settings to assist with interview and presentation assessments.
