Punctuality letter

Dear Parent/Carer
The key to success in any subject is high attendance. Students who are not in school on time, ready to learn are statistically more likely to underperform during exams. Successful people show up, show up on time and work hard all day. To help with this, all Year 7 and 8 students are expected on school site by 7.45am (8.45am on Tuesday) with the rest of the school on site by 7:55am and 8.45am on a Tuesday.
From Tuesday 3rd October, any student arriving after this time (walking/bike/car) will be placed into a lunchtime detention, so please ensure that you leave enough time for your son/daughter to get ready and arrive at school 5 minutes before lessons start every morning.
We would also like to remind you that students can be in school a lot earlier and access a free breakfast every day ensuring a good start to the day – we encourage all of you to take up that offer.
We appreciate your ongoing support with your son or daughter’s attendance and punctuality – it really makes a difference and, on that subject, if you feel there is anything we can do to help please let us know by emailing paul.alexis@mybiddenham.com.
