Field trip to Brick Lane, London

May 2024

Dear Parent/Carer

Brick Lane, London, 5th June 2024

We have a fantastic opportunity to bring case studies to life. As part of the A-level course, we study a topic called ‘Changing Places’, looking at regeneration and perception of place. As part of this, we have studied Brick Lane, London and the surrounding areas. In order to understand this case study further, we have arranged a trip to London so students can complete field work.

This trip will be on Wednesday 5th June. Students should meet at Bedford train station at 8.00am. Failure to arrive at this time will result in your child not attending the trip. We will return to Bedford by approximately 4.00pm. Students will need to arrange their own transport to and from Bedford station.

We will be travelling via train and tube to London and students will need to purchase their own tickets. This can be done in advance or at the station on the morning of travel. Students can bring a packed lunch or money to purchase lunch. We suggest students wear comfortable footwear and weather appropriate clothes. Students will also be required to bring a pen/pencil and notebook to complete the fieldwork.

Please provide parental consent via your ParentPay account.

We hope this will be an educational and fulfilling experience for students and appreciate your support.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Yours sincerely
