STEM Activity day, Redborne Upper School

Your child has been invited to attend a STEM (Science, Technology, Mathematics and Engineering) activity day at Redborne Upper School, Ampthill, Bedfordshire, on Monday 25th March. The day will be designed around delivering activities linked to these subjects.

This workshop is being delivered as part of the Wadham project and follows on from after school sessions in local schools and the upcoming visit to University of Oxford.

We will be travelling to Redborne Upper School by school minibus, departing Biddenham School at 8.00am. We aim to return by 3.30pm (traffic permitting)

A timetable for the day is given below:

08.40am – Arrival and registration
09.10am – Livestream launch by PPMA BEST Deliverer
09.15am-09.40am – Introduction to PPMA BEST and the STEM day
09.40am-10.50am – STEM Challenge; Eco Factory Loader
10.50am-11.10am – Break
11.15am-12.35pm – STEM Challenge – Pitch
12.35pm-1.00pm – Lunch
1.30pm-2.30pm – Summer Project and introduction to year 11
2.45pm – Departure

Students are to wear full school uniform and should bring a packed lunch. Any student in receipt of free school meals will be able to collect a packed lunch from the canteen before departure.

There is no cost for this trip. Please provide parental consent via your ParentPay account.
