Dear Parent/Carer
UK University and Apprenticeship Search Event
We have been offered the opportunity to take our students to the UK University and Apprenticeship Search Event in Northampton on Friday 10th November 2023. We will leave school at 8:45am and return at 2:30pm, subject to traffic.
This event will showcase a multitude of universities, apprenticeship providers and colleges within a large exhibition hall. The event also features apprenticeship and university seminars as well as campus tours of the University of Northampton’s stunning new facilities, interactive departmental demonstrations and free student brochures with detailed UCAS application guides.
The intention is to provide students with a complete range of options for their post 17 and post 18 education and career choices. This exciting and inspirational higher education fair is particularly targeted at sixth form students, who are beginning to make choices about their futures and are still considering their options. This fair will feature:
10:10am – 10.30am Student Finance
10.40am – 11.00am UCAS Personal Statement
11:10am – 11.30am Why take an Apprenticeship
11.40am – 12.00pm University Life and Courses
12.10pm – 12.30pm Russell Group University Seminar
12.40pm – 13.00pm Student Journey
13.10pm – 13.30pm Higher and Degree Apprenticeships
13.40pm – 14.00pm UCAS Personal Statement
We are taking all of the year 12 cohort to prepare them for their next steps. Please provide parental consent via the ParentPay portal. Students are required to register themselves individually using the link below in order to access the workshops.
