Year 11 students visit Battlefields of WW1

Monday, 22 February 2016

Three Year 11 students were selected to represent Biddenham on a national tour of the Battlefields of WW1.  Julia Cox was additionally selected to represent the schools and lay a wreath at the Menin Gate at the Last Post.

All three students will be part of the Legacy 110 project which aims to work to engage with 110 people each.  By presenting their 'Legacy 110' projects within the local community, not only are students deepening understanding of the First World War amongst local people, but they are also enhancing core work and life skills.

If every student who has gone on the Battlefields tours does this it will represent the 880,000 allied soldiers killed in WW1.
