As many of you will be aware we were inspected by Ofsted at the beginning of November and I am delighted to report that we were judged to be ‘Good’ in all areas.
Inspectors commented on the ‘high expectations for pupils’ within our school and ‘how teachers support all students to achieve their best’! The report also notes that “there is a positive climate for learning within classrooms… because there are good relationships between staff and pupils.” They also saw “high quality written work and pupils confidently taking part in discussions and debate.”
The ethos and culture of the school is heralded throughout the report highlighting exemplary work that results in Biddenham being, “an inclusive harmonious community where pupils show respect for one another” and find that, “pupils are confident and keen to learn. They are keen to succeed and understand the importance of their education”. The Sixth Form provision was also seen as good and students told inspectors that, “they value the opportunities provided for them by the school”.
I would like to thank all our students, staff, parents and governors for their hard work, commitment and passion for our school; it has brought about this external validation that the outcomes our students achieve are indeed good. Biddenham has always been a good school and everyone here works tirelessly to ensure that the students get to where they want to be in life. I am extremely proud of all that we have achieved at Biddenham and we will continue to strive every day to ensure that we provide the highest educational standards, alongside numerous other opportunities, to enrich the present and future lives of all who journey through the school.
